In our live interactive online workshops, we will emphasize social interactions just as much as engineering. We hope that students will feel a connection to their classmates as well as the instructor and teaching assistant. All of our workshops will revolve around open-ended, engineering design challenges. Children will develop empathy as they design for their client and work on critique and collaborations skills. Students will be introduced to challenges each session and be given optional challenges to work on in between sessions. We strive to design activities that allow students to work independently.

ONLINE ARDUINO FOR ABSOLUTE BEGINNERS

12:00-3:00 PM EDT
$350

Interested in the world of Arduino and microcontrollers, but don’t know where to start? This workshop starts with the basics and provides a supportive space that guides students through what they need to learn to start making circuits and coding for projects. No prior experience in coding or electronics is required! This workshop will provide step-by-step instruction, personalized tips and troubleshooting when circuits don’t work, and also support students as they work on more open-ended design challenges. Students learn alongside their peers (virtually), sharing feedback and support as they explore new skills together.

**Required Materials:
The official Arduino Starter Kit or Elegoo Arduino Starter Kit. Please allow adequate time for shipping. If registration is low, we may need to cancel or reschedule, so it’s best to wait to purchase the kit until the date gets closer.
